Google Discover once again proves that editorial visibility is not static. If May had left an image of normalization after the peak of video and Latin American media, the first two weeks of June introduce another twist: X.com takes the lead in visibility share, YouTube regains momentum, and several Spanish media outlets maintain high positions.
In this analysis, we update the reading of the previous May 2026 report, comparing the weighted visibility from June 1 to 14 against the immediately preceding available period. [cite: 3] The metric used is the daily share weighted by position, so an appearance in higher positions weighs more than a lower appearance.
X.com climbs to the first position
The most visible change at the start of June is the leap of X.com, which goes from 2.41% to 6.33% in weighted share. The rise is +3.92 pp, enough to position it as the domain with the highest visibility for the period.
This data does not mean that Discover has become a social feed, but it does confirm something important. Public conversation and content distributed from other platforms can trigger presence in Discover when they connect with current topics.

YouTube regains momentum, but without returning to the early May peak
In the May analysis, YouTube had lost part of the extraordinary momentum it carried from late April and the first days of May. In June, the trend changes: www.youtube.com rises from 4.10% to 5.55%, with an improvement of +1.45 pp.
The watch category replicates that advance, going from 4.10% to 5.55%. It is a clear signal: video is gaining presence again, although it now competes with other visibility focuses such as social platforms, national news, and generalist media.
Major media outlets remain strong, but the internal order changes
Among news media, the distribution does not disappear: it rearranges. ABC, El País, El Mundo, El Español, El Confidencial, and OKDiario remain among the most visible domains.
The difference lies in the direction of the movement. El País, OKDiario, ABC, and La Vanguardia gain share, while El Mundo loses part of the ground it had gained in the second half of May.

LATAM no longer falls as a block: it stabilizes with internal movements
In May, the aggregated presence of Latin American media had dropped sharply. In June, the movement is more nuanced: the LATAM block goes from 5.52% to 5.86%, a variation of +0.34 pp.
The important reading is within the block. Infobae continues to be the LATAM domain with the highest visibility, although it drops slightly. On the other hand, El Cronista clearly gains weight and Clarín also improves. This indicates that we are not facing a disappearance of the Latin American component, but rather a redistribution among headers.

Spain maintains the thematic leadership and watch grows again
By categories, spain continues to be the section with the highest share, going from 9.36% to 10.15%. National news retains a central role in Discover.
But the most striking advance is once again in watch, which rises +1.45 pp. Economy, international, motor, and society also grow. Conversely, madrid, sports, cycling, and techno lose share compared to the previous period.

What this start of June tells us about Google Discover
The beginning of June leaves three clear conclusions:
- Discover changes axis again in a few days. May had normalized the distribution; June moves the leadership back towards platforms and video.
- Peaks are not structural by default. YouTube drops, then rebounds; LATAM falls, then stabilizes; generalist media gain and lose positions depending on the agenda and format.
- Visibility is distributed among conversation, video, and national news. X.com, YouTube, and major media coexist at the top, forcing us to look at Discover as an ecosystem of signals, not as a fixed ranking of headers.
June does not continue the May trend, it rearranges it
The analysis of the first two weeks of June shows that Google Discover remains extremely sensitive to the agenda, format, and conversation signals. X.com emerges as the main winner, YouTube recovers part of the lost ground, and Spanish media maintain a solid presence, albeit with relevant internal changes.
For editorial teams, the implication is direct: it is not enough to measure the closed month. Discover can change its visibility distribution in very short windows. Detecting those variations in time allows understanding which topics, formats, and domains are gaining traction before the change consolidates.
